“On December 1993, the department of energy search for the unclassified materials regarding the nuclear program from laboratories and facility record centers in the RMI. And in late May 1994, the search was complete. There were individual records, contained in 26 boxes, handed over to the RMI Embassy. They were then called the “classified files.” but on most of the papers, information and words were either blacked out or gone, thus, I call my painting the declassified file, using a Marshallese child that was affected by the nuclear radiation to represent the many of thousands of people who suffered under the devastations in 1954.”

In August 2022, Agam Agenda joined the nonprofit organization Jo-jikum for their Climate Change and Health Arts summer camp. The youth of the Marshall Islands gathered together to explore the interconnections of natural habitats, climate change impacts, and community health through the arts. Jo-jikum (which means your home in Marshallese) is led by Kathy Jetn̄il-Kijiner, cultural ambassador of the Climate Vulnerable Forum and Marshallese poet. Read more.
