The Urgency of Now

Jenny Mae Albinio

We are out of time and out of rhyme
What better moments than now to play in?
Sashaying through life in a bubble like it’s fine,
Each step, a potential off-switch of the ailing earth.

We are out of time and out of rhyme,
Out of patience and restless faces,
Impending devastations looming ahead,
What better moments than now to play in?
Now that don’t linger, but disappear with a wink.

We are out of time and out of rhyme
When now remains an intangible lie,
Intentions are fine but actions revolutionise,
What better moments than now to play in?

We have to act Now.
