When is Now
Nathaniel Bello
If trees could speak the language of humans,
what would they say?
Where is the green in the sight of mine? I see the
blue, but turned to dark-like dye Watching the sky
become gray, I won’t lie Where will we live? I can’t
breathe, I’m gonna die!
Where are the birds that fly so high?
Oh there it is! Lying on the ground, oh fate!
Where are the animals that are free, not shy?
Oh I see them! With chains in their neck, caged to death
When will this be over?
When will our world breathe and break free?
Let us all join together
And solve the problem of the century
That time is not later nor tomorrow
That time must start right now
Save our planet, from agony and sorrow
Well, when is now!
