Where do the lands lay bare?

An invitation to meditate on Deserts and arid places, offered by Agam Agenda.

Under the harsh sun and cloudless skies, we learn to walk through deserts.

Watch the creatures that have adapted to thrive here: foxes with large ears, small mammals that burrow in the day and wake in the night, cacti carrying water to last months. Imagine the centuries of civilizations that have faced this heat: nomadic peoples, residents of cities, and migrants shuffling to and fro. Wanting for water, and oil, keeps life moving.

Landscapes and life cycles continue to be sculpted by the dry desert wind.

The sand below your feet scatters and shifts toward thinning soils.

Where do deserts stretch and encroach?
