Scenic

The sea is placid, its silence befitting meditation,
A perfect place to subject of interesting rumination.
As I listen to the sound of the waves,
Feeling the sensation of the sea breeze.
The ocean current whispering on repeat,
Lulls me with it’s calming beat.

A notion occurs to me as I gaze at this beauty,
How can this scenery be heavenly but treacherous simultaneously?
These crashing waves and thunder cracking,
Yet there’s this satisfaction I’m feeling.
Once within, you feel it deeper,
As the sea becomes calm as after.

My thoughts drift away to the horizon’s edge,
Where the sun glows, a burning orange and red.
The waves crash and roar as if they were alive,
Bringing peace and serenity, as I strive.
I lay my worries away and start anew,
As I take in the beauty of the view.
