Splendor of Nature

Laiza May Elumbaring

Every flower contains a poem,
every tree has a sonnet,
a story for each lifetime
It’s only for your eyes to see.

a song can be found in every stream
rushing over rocks,
Every nuance contains an ode,
as the miracle of love opens,

Every sound has a rhythm,
whenever a heartbeat occurs,
Poetry can be found in any union.
and every separated couple

likewise, there is wonder.
in every newly born human
Sadness and regret are present.
for what is unsaid and unspoken

just keep an ear out for music
that is audible to your ears,
just make an effort to hear the melody
that’s both far away and close by.

the creation’s wonder,
the divine’s enchantment
exists to feel.
